January 3 -- Companies C, E, F and G remove to winter quarters in the Northern Neck, under the command of Lt. Col. William Chapman.

January 18 -- Attack on B&O train near Duffield Station (led by Maj. Richards)

January 30 -- Attack on Cavalry camp near Charles Town (led by Maj. Richards)

February

February 5 -- Skirmish near Vienna

February 19 -- Fight at Mt. Carmel Church, Clarke County

March

March 1 -- (approx) raid on the Yankee garrison near Williamsburg (Companies, C, E, F and G, in the Northern Neck)

March 1 -- (approx) skirmish on the Chain Bridge Road north of Fairfax Courthouse

March 12 -- Fight at the "Hague" near Kinsale (Companies, C, E, F and G, in the Northern Neck)

March 12 -- Fight at Gantt's house near Tyson's corner

March 14 --- Attempted raid on Charles Town, WV

March --- Scout to Shenandoah Valley and derailment of B&O train near Charles Town.

March 21 --- Fight at Hamilton, Loudoun County

Late March -- Companies C, E, F, and G under Lt. Col. William Chapman return to Fauquier

March 30 -- Attack on the block house at Summit Point, Jefferson Co, WV

April

(April 9: General Lee surrenders at Appomattox)

April 10 -- Fight at Arundell's (last fight of the Battalion)

(April 15: President Lincoln killed by John Wilkes Booth. Former Mosby Ranger Lewis Powell, alias Paine, is implicated as a co-conspirator.)

April 15-20 -- Negotiations for surrender of the command at Millwood (talks collapsed on April 20)

April 21 -- Col. Mosby disbands the command rather than surrender, at Salem (now Marshall) Virginia (Click to read his speech)

April 22 -- Several member of the command surrender at Winchester.

April 22 - Mid May -- Col. Mosby and several of his men, including Ben Palmer and John Munson ride southward in hopes of joining up with Johnston but give up the effort when they hear that Johnston has also surrendered. Palmer and several others sign paroles at Winchester, May 17.
