September 15 -- Lt. Col. Mosby wounded in groin in skirmish on the Centreville road, near Germantown.

September 16 -- Fight at Snicker's Gap (Mt Airy fight)/

September 21 -- Fight above Winchester

September 23 -- Fight at Summit Point, Jefferson Co, W.Va

September 23 -- Attack on the Reserve Brigade of Merritt's Cavalry Division near Chester Gap, and subsequent execution of seven members of the command at Front Roya

September 25 -- Fight at Opequon Creek near Shacklett's house near Berryville

September 25 -- Attack on Sheridan's communications near Frederick County.

September 29 -- Joseph Blackwell's house, "Heartland" burned by Federal troops. This was the informal headquarters of the command and was where Col. Mosby was staying, and it is believed that a number of his personal effects were lost in this fire.

October:

October 8 -- Scout below the Manassas Gap RR near Piedmont

October 9 -- Skirmish at Tom's Brook, near Fisher's Hill

October 11 -- Skrimishes along the Manaswsas Gap RR between the Plains and Rectortown (The Whitewood Fight)

October 12 -- Attack on an ambulance on the Valley Pike north of Newtown, led by Richards

October 14 -- The "Greenback Raid" on the B&O Railroad near Duffield's Station, WVA

October 14 -- Adamstown, Maryland raid

October 16 -- Scout along the Manassas Gap RR in Fauquier

October 17 -- attack on Yankee foraging party at Fletcher's between Piedmont and Paris

October 17 -- Scout along the Valley Pike between Bunker Hill and Bucklestown, WV., led by Richards

October 17 -- Demonstration agains the fortifications at Annandale

October 18 -- Attack on a picket at Hunter's Mill in Fairfax, which ended in the controversial killing of Rev. John D. Read.

October 25 -- Attack on wagon train and capture of Gen. Duffie on the Valley Pike between Winchester and Martinsburg

October 27 -- Scout to the Shenandoah Valley led by Richards

October 29 -- Fight near Dulany's, Upperville

November:

November 5 -- Scout along the Valley Pike between Middletown and Strasburg

Mid-November -- Scout to Warren County

November 15 (approx) -- Attack on a wagon train near White Post

November 15 (approx.) Scout to between ThePlains and Middleburg to intercept a Federal patrol, led by Richards

December 3 -- Attempted raid on a B&O train near Duffield Station (Richards)

December 7 -- Colonel Mosby promoted to full colonel.

December 8 -- Scout to near Duffield Station (Richards)

December 8 -- Dr. Aristides Montiero, a UVa. classmate formally transferred to the unit, at the request of Col. Mosby.

December 19 -- Attack on ambulance and guard near Vienna (led by Bushrod Underwood)

December 21 -- Col. Mosby severely wounded at "Lakeland" home of Ludwell Lake, near Rector's Cross Roads (Atoka).

December 26-27 -- Skirmishes with Federal troops passing through Fauquier, in search of Mosby

December 28 - Scout to near Millwood (Richards)
