Rangers:
Mosby's Rangers / 43rd Battalion: Not reenactors, but
rather a Civil-war era competitive target shooting group,
part of the North-South Skirmish Association and located
in the N-SSA's Tidewater Region. N-SSA groups pick their
names to honor a particular unit which they admire. Their
site includes a short history of the original 43rd. Their
uniforms might have a lot of yaller on 'em but they're
great shots and great guys.

The
Loudoun
County Chapter of the Natoinal Wild Turkey
Federation
(the wildlife conservation group, not bourbon
connoisseurs -- or at least as far as we know) is named
after Col. Mosby: "It is only fitting that the newly
formed local chapter of the National Wild Turkey
Federation (NWTF) be named after the legendary gray ghost
of Loudoun from the Civil War days. The John S. Mosby
Chapter NWTF will be meeting from time to time at the
LCC-IWLA's chapterhouse."
