As the
Washington DC metropolitan corridor continues to expand,
much of the land in "Mosby's Confederacy" is under threat
from development.
Mosby
Heritage Area:
A
few years ago, the John
Singleton Mosby Heritage Area
Association
was formed to raise money and awareness for the need for
preservation of key sites in the area. They deserve your
support.

Major
CW heritage preservation event October 2000 in the heart
of Mosby's Confederacy. Proceeds benefitted
a number of key conservation groups in Virginia.
The
Mosby
Heritage Area
and Snickersville Turnpike Association both had booths at
Sunday's public program. Over $50000 was raised by
reenactors and their sponsors
The
Snickersville Turnpike Association's annual Civil War
Cavalry trail ride to raise money for preservation will
be held in October 2001. Check back for
details!
Mosby
Museum, Warrenton VA
Mosby Museum Fundraising Ball December 2:"The
John Singleton Mosby Foundation, is raising money to
restore "Brentmoor", Col. Mosby's house in Warrenton and
turn it into a museum. They held a fundraising ball on
December 2, 2000 (in honor of Col. Mosby's birthday Dec
6) which is now going to be an annual event.

Herndon
Raid Reenactment, March
17:
Proceeds benefit the ongoing preservation of Herndon's
1857 railway depot, site of Mosby's March 17, 1863 raid,
and also the Mosby Museum in Warrenton. Click
