The Herndon Raid:
Saturday March 15, 2003 Reenactment

Reenactor schedule:

9:00 - 10:30 reenactor & living historian registration and coffee
(Infantry and civilian - cavalry to assemble at stables)

10:30 -- Event opens to public (Old Dominion Dancers Exhibition) -- Living history displays should be set up at this point.
-- Reenactor's Briefing (at registration) and firearms inspection.
Note: Cavalry firearms inspections to be carried out at assembly area at stables
-- Donation collectors & exhibitors to be in place.

11:30 -- Federals to be in place around depot.

11:45 -- Civilians to be in place

12:15 -- Pre-raid narration by historian Don Hakenson

12:25 -- Kitty Kitchen Hanna's reminiscences of the raid

RAID REENACTMENT (details to be provided at briefing)

1:30 -- Dedication of historic marker to the raid (color guard)

2:00 -- 4:00 -- Living history displays

(Modern box lunches will be provided as a convenience for reenactors / living history participants at a nominal cost)
