Public Schedule:

10:30 a.m. event opens to the public (period music, Union cavalry encampment, exhibition by the Old Dominion Dancers)

12:15 - 1:15 Mosby's raid on Herndon Station:

Narration by Mosby Historian Don Hakenson

1:30 - Dedication of VDOT Historic Marker Commemorating the Raid

2:00 - 4:00: Living history displays, demonstrations and talks

The living history program to feature reenactors portraying key participants and local citizens, displays of original and reproduction Civil War items, "show and tell" of cavalry equipment, demonstration of Civil War era dancing by the Old Dominion Dancers, period music.

The event closes at 4:00 p.m., but we encourage you to stay in the area and patronize the local businesses of the historic downtown area, including a number of excellent hostelries and taverns which will be celebrating St. Patrick's Day in style!
